Q:
I have stains on my pressure cooker. What happened and what can I do?
A:

These are generally discolorations  which result from substances in the water being absorbed into the passive film of the stainless steel. Cleansers which contain a large amount of basic silicates and phosphates can also produce such discolorations in stainless steel. Adding salt to water which has not yet come to the boil can also produce deposits of salt crystals on the bottom of the pot. The salt then reacts with the stainless steel, forming little white spots on the bottom of the pot. Discolorations can also be produced if stainless steel cookware is placed on a burner that is already very hot. The discolorations can easily be removed with Fissler Stainless Steel Cleanser.

Q:
I think my pressure cooker is not working correctly anymore. What can I do?
A:

In addition to all its unique and beneficial features, Vitaquick pressure cookers are perfectly safe and even exceed the minimum safety requirements of Europe and the United States with patented innovative features such as:

Euromatic Safety Valve: With the perfection of the Euromatic automatic valve, every Vitaquick pressure cooker offers a high degree of safety with convenience and reliability. The valve only engages once the handle is properly locked and it ensures a safe build-up of pressure and opening of the lid by automatically closing once the oxygen has escaped. The valve also automatically releases any excess pressure to maintain a safe level at all times.

Auto-locking handle with visual indicator: The handle with indicate that the pressure cooker is locked security with an audible click as well as a color display that switches from red to green. Only once the lid is securely closed will the Vitaquick build up pressure.

Residual Pressure Block: The cooker can only be opened if it has been depressurized completely.

Interlocking Lid: The stainless steel lid locks into place, creating a tight seal, and pressure can only build if the lid is put on correctly and locked. It is impossible to open the lid with pressure inside.

Automatic Steam Release: If the temperature in the cooker increases too much, the automatic steam release function in the main control valve permits steam to escape and keeps the inside pressure at a safe level.

These days, our lives are so busy that it’s particularly important to make sure that we cook healthy and time-saving meals.

Fissler Vitaquick pressure cookers combine healthy nutrition with gentle cooking, since atmospheric oxygen is expelled and the cooking periods are quite short. Vitamins and minerals, as well as nutrients and flavor, are thus preserved. You can see and taste the difference.

With Vitaquick, you save up to 70% of the regular cooking time and as much as 50% of the energy traditionally used in cooking. Using Vitaquick pressure cookers is a great way of achieving a balanced diet while saving time and energy!

Healthy

• Conventional cooking methods cause many vitamins and minerals to be destroyed or released into the cooking liquid, which is often drained. Vitaquick pressure cookers require less cooking liquid and cook faster, preserving food’s nutritional value.

• Vitaquick pressure cookers have two pressure levels, a gentle pressure level for cooking delicate food like vegetables and fish without destroying nutrients, and a speed pressure level for cooking meats and stews quickly.
